My name is Melissa, and I live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia with my seven wonderful children.  I’ve been playing with yarn and textiles since I was a tiny child (I learned to sew and crochet before I learned to read!), and while my formal background is in fine arts, my passion is for fiber!  I’ve been knitting since middle school and spinning now for about 16 years.  I love to experiment, to play with color,  in the dyepot, to design, and to share my love of same with others.  I have a shop on etsy.com (where I’m wildhare and a member of the etsy Fiber Arts Street Team) as well as my own website (www.wildharefiber.com), and you will also find me joining in the forums on ravelry as wildharefiber.  I’m particularly interested in US made products, supporting local farmers, and recycled/environmentally responsible fiber choices.
